Convert a Word document to PDF in your browser
Use this workflow for a straightforward DOCX whose main value is headings and paragraphs. Open the local preview first and compare the order of the extracted text with the source document.
A DOCX is a package of XML files. The browser reads supported document text and draws a new PDF; the Word file is not sent to an OpenToolSuite converter server.
Complex tables, tracked changes, comments, headers, footnotes, text boxes, embedded objects, custom fonts, and exact page-break behavior may not be reproduced. Use Word, LibreOffice, or a specialist renderer when pixel-identical layout matters.
Open the exported PDF and check every page, particularly lists, accented characters, links, and page boundaries. Keep the DOCX because the PDF is a simplified output rather than a replacement source.
This is Word-to-PDF only. It does not convert a PDF back into an editable Word document. For a scanned PDF, use the separate OCR workflow and verify the recognized text manually.
