The generator creates one local PNG at a time. Code 128 can represent an internal SKU such as OTS-1042; it is not a scanner or a product lookup. Retail check digits detect some input errors but do not establish ownership, availability or retailer acceptance. Standard Code 128 here does not add GS1-128 FNC1 or Application Identifiers. It also does not produce vector SVG, a label sheet, or a GS1 registration. Retain clear white margins and test the physical printed size with the scanner you will use. Use the displayed payload as the final checkpoint before printing. For Code 128, an internal reference such as OTS-1042 retains its letters and hyphen, while unsupported non-ASCII characters need a different supported representation. For EAN-13 and UPC-A, inspect the completed digits because normalisation removes non-digit input and a calculated check digit becomes part of the value. A valid check digit cannot establish that you own a retail identifier. Scan the downloaded PNG with the equipment you intend to use and compare the decoded value with your stock record. Repeat the test on a physical label at actual size, keeping white margins and adequate contrast. If scanning fails, check scaling, printer quality and cropped quiet zones before changing the data. Standard Code 128 is not GS1-128 here. The generator does not register products, confirm retailer acceptance or produce a verified label-quality report.
HOW THE RESULT WORKS
This implementation uses Code 128 set B for printable ASCII 32–126, preserving spaces and punctuation. EAN-13 accepts 12 digits and calculates the thirteenth, or checks a complete 13-digit number. UPC-A accepts 11 digits plus a calculated check digit, or validates all 12 digits. Retail normalization removes non-digits, so always inspect the final digits under the preview.
Check that 400638133393 gains the final digit 1 as EAN-13.

Why is my EAN-13 or UPC-A preview empty?
Check the digit count and final check digit. For example, 4006381333931 is valid but 4006381333932 is not. Use only identifiers you are entitled to encode.
Can I create GS1-128 or scan an existing barcode?
No. This page creates standard Code 128 set B, EAN-13 or UPC-A images. It does not support GS1-128, scanner input or product lookup.
Can Code 128 encode an accented name?
This implementation accepts printable ASCII 32–126. An accented letter or emoji is outside that input range; use an appropriate identifier rather than silently removing meaningful characters.
Does a valid PNG certify a retail barcode?
No. A check digit is arithmetic, and a rendered image is not GS1 registration or print-quality verification. Confirm the assigned identifier and scan a printed sample.
