Paste the text or dates List Cleaner & Randomizer should use.
Read the live count, list, or span.
Copy the result only after it matches the source you trust.
How to use List Cleaner & Randomizer with a clear next step.
Paste one item per line and choose an action: sort, reverse, trim, quote, deduplicate, show duplicates, count frequencies, number or shuffle. Set whether uppercase and lowercase versions count as different items, then run the action. Read the result before copying or downloading the text file. Empty lines are not list items.
For input apple, pear, apple on three separate lines, Keep unique items returns apple and pear. A frequency report should show two occurrences of apple and one of pear. Shuffle changes the order rather than selecting a certified contest winner; keep the original list for comparison. Choose the membership rule before changing order. In a list containing Apple, apple and pear, case-sensitive comparison can keep three distinct entries, while case-insensitive deduplication can combine the first two. That may be appropriate for a casual shopping list but wrong for case-sensitive product codes. Run one action and compare the number of output lines with the source. A frequency report helps identify repeated items before deleting them, while sorting can destroy a meaningful priority order. Empty lines are ignored as items, so do not use this workflow when blank lines themselves carry records. If quoting or numbering is used for a downstream file, verify the exact syntax that file expects rather than assuming the result is a complete CSV or executable list. Save the original order before a shuffle. Randomised ordering does not produce an independently audited contest result or establish an entry’s eligibility.
List operations run on the non-empty input lines in this browser. Case sensitivity affects comparisons: Apple and apple can be treated as distinct entries or the same item. Sorting changes order; deduplication changes membership. Run one operation at a time and compare the line count so that a cleanup step does not silently remove an item you meant to keep.
Compare the frequency of one-item-per-line labels.
Number an ordered checklist before copying it.
List Cleaner & Randomizer FAQ
Does this handle a CSV table with quoted cells?
No. Each non-empty line is a list item. Use a CSV-specific tool when commas, columns and quoted multiline fields matter.
Can Apple and apple count as the same item?
Yes. Turn off the upper/lower-case distinction before deduplication or frequency counting. Review the result when capitalization carries meaning.
Does shuffle prove a contest was fair?
No. It rearranges the supplied list locally and does not verify eligibility, entry completeness or provide an independently audited drawing.
