How the result is made

pdf.js extracts text items in the browser. Dated lines are parsed with Indian amount formats and a running-balance check so a single amount can be inferred as debit or credit. Password-protected statements ask for the password you already have — often date of birth — and decrypt only in this session. Scanned photographs have no text layer and will not parse until OCR PDF adds one.
