PRACTICAL GUIDE

How to use Case Converter & Slug Tool with a clear next step.

Paste text and copy the casing you need: title initials, uppercase, lowercase, camelCase or an ASCII URL slug. Check accented letters and proper names before replacing the source.

For ÁRBOL, NIÑO Y CAFÉ, lowercase gives árbol, niño y café; title initials give Árbol, Niño Y Café; camelCase gives árbolNiñoYCafé; the slug gives arbol-nino-y-cafe. A slug is a string, not a published or unique URL. Choose the result for the destination before transforming a whole heading or identifier. For the text “Summer Photo Guide”, uppercase is useful only when that style is intended; a URL slug such as summer-photo-guide serves a different technical purpose. Mechanical title initials cannot know that a brand should remain iPhone or that a publisher treats small connecting words differently. Review names, abbreviations and language-specific capitals manually. Unicode casing keeps accented letters where supported, while the ASCII slug deliberately removes accents and other unsupported groups. That can cause two different source phrases to collapse to the same slug, so check collisions in the actual site before publishing. A slug alone is not a routed page and does not reserve a web address. For camelCase, verify that the target programming language accepts the generated identifier and that it does not start with a disallowed character or use a reserved word. If punctuation disappears unexpectedly, compare the chosen mode with the source instead of repeatedly converting the output. Keep the original text so meaningful accents and punctuation can be restored. Case conversion is not translation, grammar correction or an editorial style review. Copy a short sample into the destination first and inspect both its visible appearance and any exact matching behaviour the surrounding system relies on.

HOW THE RESULT WORKS

Casing preserves Unicode letters and accents. Mechanical title initials are not editorial title style. The ASCII slug normalises accented letters, removes combining marks and replaces other non-alphanumeric groups with hyphens.

THREE USEFUL SCENARIOS
01

Convert an all-caps draft to lowercase while retaining accents.

02

Build a camelCase starting string and verify the target language accepts it.

03

Create an ASCII slug and check for a collision before using it in a URL.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Case Converter & Slug Tool FAQ

Are accented letters preserved?

In casing, yes. Slugs deliberately remove accents and retain a–z and 0–9.

Does title case follow a publisher style guide?

No. It mechanically capitalises initials; check proper names, small words and language-specific rules.

Does this reserve or publish a URL?

No. It produces a string for you to review and use.
